This is a hand-made product. It is woven with natural fibers that may give the product some unevenness. Shades may vary within each roll and from roll to roll. Take extra care in examining this product as you prepare for installation.
Remove all old wallcovering, adhesives and repair as needed. Walls should be smooth and clean, free of mildew and stains. If required, apply a stain killing primer to prevent transfer of impurities. Wash newly plastered walls with a zinc sulfate solution such as ROMAN’S ULTRA PRO 977. On drywall use a pigmented primer like ZINNSER”S SHIELDS PRIMER or ROMAN’S ULTRA PREMIUM PRO 977.
Tint the primer the same color as the background of your wallcovering.
Draw a vertical line from ceiling to floor using a plumbline or straight-edge and level. This will be the guide for your first strip. Cut the strip to the wall height allowing 2” (two inches) on the top and bottom for trimming. This material is pretrimmed; you may need to trim sides on a table to allow for a better fit as needed.
Use a clear premixed adhesive (ROMAN’S ULTRA PREMIUM CLEAR PRO 880). Apply evenly to back of strip; avoid getting adhesive on face of wallcovering. Paste and hang one strip at a time. Book by folding each end of the strip towards the middle; pasted sides together so they do not dry out. Roll the folded like a loose newspaper and keep edges aligned. Allow to “rest for 3 minutes then bring to the wall and hang. Smooth out air pockets and wrinkles from the center out to the edges. Cut and trim ceiling and floor excess with a utility knife; change blades after each cut. DO NOT USE A SEAM ROLLER as it will flatten fibers.
REPEAT with next strip; do not overlap seams or reverse strips.
After three strips stop and inspect. If satisfactory, continue. If not, contact the seller at once.
